Craig was for 28 years a litigation partner with DLA Phillips Fox before joining Capital Chambers.

He undertakes a range of Commercial, Public Law, Regulatory, Securities, Trusts, Resources and Environmental litigation and advice.  He frequently appears in the High Court, Court of Appeal and various Specialists Courts, Commissions and Alternative Dispute Resolution forums. 

He acts for a variety of public and private companies as well as local authorities and crown entities. Clients Craig has acted for have included Shell New Zealand Limited, Perry Corp, Solid Energy New Zealand Limited, Trust Power Limited, Electricity Commission, Telecom New Zealand 

Limited, Wellington International Airport Limited, Wellington City Council, New Zealand Fire Service Commission, Exide New Zealand Limited, TOWER Limited and Trustees Executors Limited. 

Craig is the former Managing Partner of DLA Phillips Fox and for a number of years was a member of its New Zealand and subsequently Australasian Boards.  He has also been involved in various community and professional organisations including: former chair of the Roseneath School Board of Trustees; a former elected Executive Committee member of the Petroleum Exploration and Production Association of New Zealand; a former committee member of the Wellington branch of the Resource Management Law Association; for several years the honorary lawyer for Kapiti Environmental Action; and since 1995 has been a faculty member of the New Zealand Law Society’s Litigation Skills Programme to teach litigation skills to young advocates.
